Boys in grades 1-5 may become members of Cub Pack #613 under the leadership of our Programming Director and Cubmaster, Phil Kahn, and girls in grades 1-5 may become members of Brownie Troop #613 under the leadership of Program Director Batya Kahn.

Along with outdoor programming such as hiking, fishing, camping, and much more, the groups will meet every week and engage in exciting activities that are both fun and educational, with a special emphasis upon Jewish elements and their significance. Junior Congregation
Program Director Batya Kahn leads Junior Congregation on Shabbos and Holidays for children ages 6-10. The program takes place from 10:30-!1:30 am in the chapel building and includes davening, stories, and games that relate to the weekly parsha or holidays, along with a special kiddush for the children.

A child who behaves well and actively participates in Junior Congregation is recognized as a "Mitzvah Star" with the announcing of his name at the Shul Kiddush where he receives candy. He also has a star placed on a "Mitzvah Star Chart" in the shul lobby. If a child receives 10 stars, he is given an entire bag of candy. If he receives 20 stars, he gets to go on a trip to Graeter's Ice Cream Store. If he receives 30 stars, he gets a gift certificate to Yaakov's Place.

Babysitting is available for all Shabbos and Holiday services at no charge from 9 am until the end of the service.

The Jewish Overnight Camping Program
This program is funded by The Jewish Federation of Cincinnati. Their program of grants to first-time campers to Jewish overnight camps is a tremendous success! In the first two years of the program, they have helped about 120 kids go to camp. To find out more information visit their website www.jewishcincinnati.org.
